This is sad. Most or our Historically Black Colleges and Universities are in financial trouble. We can blame the financial down turn, but the reality is deeper than that.
The biggest single problem is racism. I said it, there it is.
Reverse racism makes an historically black college or university less appealing to black and to white students.
That means they get less tuition from potential students, and less compensation from governments. And some of them are not as well managed, I think some of the management problems are the result of reverse racism, and some are not.
How do we turn this around? Both the financial situation of these colleges, but also the greater cultural problems in the US that lead to these problems?
