They list Aaron Alexis as 34 from Texas, Fort Worth. It seems he was from Queens New York and moved to Texas with the US Navy.
He served 4 years in the US Navy, and they sometimes describe him as a Government contractor. However, the reports also indicate he was discharged because of misconduct. It is unlikely the Government would use him as a contractor if he had a misconduct discharge.
So, reports are conflicting.
From what has been said so far, he did not have access to be at the Washington Navy Yard, so the FBI believes someone assisted him in getting on the Yard.
They have posted pictures of him, on this article at the BBC.
The FBI is looking for information about him, and another ‘black male, around 50 years old.’ If you have any information about either, contact the FBI.
