Have you noticed how much hate there is in the world today?
“What? YOU are a Christian? You are full of hate!”
It does not matter the subject: if the other person is hateful, out spews their hate.
My family came here to escape that hate.
They came for freedom to worship Jesus. But, now the current world view is twisting that freedom into a ‘right to hate Christians.’
I think the why is rather simplistic.
They fear they are wrong. And they dread the consequences of their lifestyle. Every little subject reminds them they are out of communion with the Creator of the Universe.
They are reminded they do not love. Genuine and deep love is beyond their ability.
One indicator I always notice: they do not love children.
How can you NOT love children? The helpless ages, not necessarily the older ages. How can someone allow children to be harmed. What happened to ‘women and children’ first?
‘When you harm the least of these,’ you betray the basis of human love. Protecting those who are weaker is the basis of the ‘human’ experience. But, going to the next level, even most animals feel some of our ‘natural urge’ to protect others.
Just try to get between a bear and her cubs.
So, why is it our culture is abandoning natural desires?
Could that be why so many people are divorcing?
We are abandoning our natural desire for our wives? Wives are abandoning their desire for their husband?
Could that be why so many are becoming ‘gay?’
I wonder if God speaks on that?
28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. Romans Chapter one would seem to indicate that.
What else did God speak about us 2,000 years ago?
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. (NIV from biblegateway.com)
And we are told to be ashamed of the Gospel.
Yet, our time today was prophesied. Today we live the fulfillment.
And there are those who want us to remain silent and watch as it gets even worse.
Are you watching? Or, are you warning?
