Blog, Twitter, or Facebook?

Friends,

Have you noticed how we are bombarded by ‘media?’

Everyone wants us to use ‘their’ method.

So which do you use? Which do you read?

Is ‘micro-blogging’ the future? Or, is Twitter just a fad reflecting our cultures pre-occupation with the ‘rat-race?’

Honestly? I think it is part of the future, and that it reflects poorly upon our preoccupation with the rat-race. It is the future of communication just as war was the future for Europe in 1936 ….

We will not evade the twitter-nation, but those who remain neutral and avoid it will do much better than most who struggle in this ‘media-wars.’

To a lessor degree, Facebook is a fad. But, since it does bring in the reward of staying connected with old friends, and current friends, Facebook will go the distance.

Blogging?

I believe that true blogging is the democratization of media.

The elite stole control of the presses at least a century ago. They required that you join their team and politic, or you could not particpate.

Blogging, like talk radio, has defeated the old main-stream control of what people can say and read.

There are those who only want control. They have moved into the internet age. You can see their blogs every where. As soon as you cannot reblog, or comment, or they ‘report’ you as a spammer ….. you know their purpose is not democratization, rather it is same old fascism of media moved onto the internet.

So, which do you use?
