Have you ever tried to discover what people are actually reading on your blogs?
Is it as much an art as it is a science?
I think so.
But, what would you look at? How would you go about deciding what people are reading from your blogs?
Here is my ‘why:’
If I have two competing ideas to blog about, and I am equally interested in those blog ideas, I would blog on the concept most of my readers would enjoy reading about. And if they did not ‘enjoy,’ they would at least want to read.
So, what have I found on my random study of my blog hits.
Evolution; the homosexual agenda; and pictures are my top blog topics.
Evolution based upon the total number of comments. One blog went on for a very long time discussing the subject.
The homosexual agenda because it CONSISTENTLY gets the most hits on an almost daily basis.
A good photo blog, because those get the most ‘likes.’
Is that a good way for me to look at what my readers are reading?
I have thought about purchasing an ‘analytics’ package, so I could discern what you are reading better.
My reason for not doing so, yet, is simple – the time spent learning the analytics package would consume at least the amount of time to write 50 to 60 blogs …..
I really do think about my readers a lot. And I would not want to deprive you of enjoyable blogs just to learn a new software, but on the other side of my argument with myself, I might need to learn that software, so I can write what you like to read about ….
Ironically, I write a lot about politics and religion. But, I do not see any data indicating that you (my readers) enjoy those the most.
But, you at least tolerate those blogs.
Thank you for reading.
And here is to true diversity in thought and discussion. May we all, someday, meet Jesus and sit down with him for a truly diverse experience focused upon the one thing that matters:
