NC votes pro-Marriage!

Friends,

It is apparent that most Americans are pro-Marriage. While a vocal minority supports re-defining marriage, most Americans to not want to re-define marriage.

I believe that is the way it should be.

But, remember the vocal minority is VERY vocal.

We need to protect marriage from the continued assaults on marriage and upon Christianity.

Are you as thankful as I am for North Carolinians?

Or are polls not telling you what you want to believe?

    • Wayne says:

Just because I disagree with a poll does not make the poll true. Nor does it make it false.

      Faking polls makes them false.

Yesterday, someone had a ‘recent’ poll showing Obama had a 10% point lead over Romney. Later in the day, I read a detailed Democratic Pundit’s description all of the Democratic HYPE. He wrote Obama’s lead was in TENTHS of a point.

The presidential polls have been fluctuating lately, but when it comes to gay marriage, the national polls have all shown 50% or higher for approval lately. There’s no logical reason to purposefully falsify a poll, especially when they’re as trusted as Gallup or Reuters. It should be noted that most polls still rely heavily on landline phone respondents. Few people under 30 have a landline phone nowadays, and I don’t have to convince you that they usually lean left.

        Joe,

Actually you do have to convince me.

        I talk with them.

And they are SCARED of what they see happening.

Ah the advantages of REAL people.

I would direct you to one of the many polls that illustrate the growing age gap between liberals and conservatives, but as you’ve already established, quantitative facts have a liberal bias. Instead, I’ll try to counter your circumstantial evidence with my own.

I’m a young person under the age of 30 who’s had the opportunity to teach and befriend many young people under the age of 30 all over the world. What I’ve seen is a generation that overwhelmingly supports progress and longs for equality for all human beings. Any fear they have is a fear of the bigots who still cling steadfastly to their stifling influence founded entirely on their own childish fear of change.

      • Wayne says:

        You sound like me.

The difference? I have the wisdom to realize that stifling progress in the name of ‘equality’ is worse than the supposed prejudice they are eliminating.

And I know the cost to our children is not worth it.

PS I am talking with young people all over the world. And I am not getting a desire from them to become ‘gay,’ or even ‘gay friendly.’

They want freedom to work and enjoy life without the fear of 50 years and nothing to show for it.

      • joesix says:

Wayne, my friend, everyone will sound like you if they’re not allowed to form their arguments from respected polls and research studies from within the past 20 years, instead relying on personal anecdotes and “science” presented from religious institutions.

      • Wayne says:

So, why is only one side ALLOWED to form their arguments?

What happened to the Freedom my ancestors won for you?

    • joesix says:

You’re allowed to form any argument you want. You could just make much stronger arguments by citing actual polling data and research studies from within the past 20 years. I ran into a great quote this week from Isaac Asimov that reminds me of this same conversation we keep having:

“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that ‘my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’”

The latest national poll I read today shows 50% approving of same-sex marriage and 48% opposed. That officially makes you the vocal minority.

    • Wayne says:

Actually, propaganda does not support your claim.

      Truth supports mine.

NC was a swing state – on the liberal side. 61% voted against any, (ANY) gay relationships.

I think the years of propaganda will back fire as real people begin to resist the evil.
