Facebook AGAIN!

I often wonder how Facebook became the dominant software program that it now is.

It has always had more problems than MySpace, and MySpace was a nightmare.

And why am I thinking about that this morning?  I logged into Facebook, only to be told, I needed to log in.  Three times!  FB (Facebook) just does not impress me.  If I did not have so many friends and family on that site, I would never visit.

Honestly?  Linked-in has more to offer me.  For those who just asked, “What is a Linked-in?”  Linked-in is a professional social networking site.  You can keep in touch with the same people you would in Facebook.  It has fewer ads, but Linked-in does charge if you want access to everything.

But, it has less drama.  I have never heard someone complain, “I was ‘de-linked-in!'”  Maybe I am just becoming old fashioned, but there is something nice about a software that is not taking over the world.  There is something kinder, beautiful, and pleasant about software that enables a better life instead of trying to run your life.

How many posts from your FB friends have you noticed posted from “mobile” this, or “I-phone” that?  Why would you enable people to write to their FB accounts while driving?  Don’t we already have enough idiots driving while texting?

If you are one of those, I politely apologize for calling you an idiot.  But, honestly?  Quit!  Smoking kills you.  Texting kills everyone you run into!

What next?  Will the president give his state of the union address on FB?  Wait.  He already tried something like that.

Maybe today’s glitch is a permanent bug.  Could it be that FB has liberated all of us from its clutches?

I won’t hold my breath.  But, I did say a prayer under my breath ….
